Yes, checking origin by VIN costs nothing and needs no account. You type in the number and get the country and city of the assembly plant, plus whether that Toyota meets the condition for the customs preference. Repeat it before every auction you enter.

Do you handle customs clearance?

Yes. We run the customs declaration, put together the proof of origin and deal with the customs agency. For a Toyota that qualifies on its VIN we apply for the 0% rate, and the office decides on the basis of the documents submitted.

Does every Toyota from the USA get zero duty?

No. The zero rate covers cars finally assembled in the States, and Toyota is built in several countries at once. Two cars of the same model can carry different rates, so the answer only comes from the plant country read off the VIN.

How do you know where my Toyota was assembled?

From the production data tied to the VIN, which carries the country and city of the plant. You type in the number, we read the plant and compare it with the condition for the preference. That beats the first character of the VIN, which points only to the manufacturer's country.

What if the Toyota was assembled in Mexico?

Then the car enters the EU at the standard 10% rather than 0%. Where you bought it makes no difference: a car won at a sale in the States but assembled in Mexico or Canada fails the origin condition and clears like any other import.

Which Toyota models are assembled in the States

There is no single rate for the Toyota badge. Duty follows the plant that built the individual car: an American line means 0%, a line outside the States means 10%. VAT at 23% is charged on the value with duty added, so the gap reaches further than one line of the bill. The VIN of a single car decides.

Which Toyota models are assembled in the USA?

Most US-assembled Toyota cars reach us from the plant in Georgetown. The same range also holds cars from lines outside the States: those enter the EU at 10%, while cars from American plants catch 0%.

Models of “American” brands without zero duty

The zero rate is out of reach for Toyota cars from plants outside the USA, even when an American dealer sold them and you bid on them at a sale in the States. The preference in force since 2026-07-01 looks at the place of final assembly, so 10% stands. The VIN shows it plainly.
