Which Toyota models are assembled in the States

There is no single rate for the Toyota badge. Duty follows the plant that built the individual car: an American line means 0%, a line outside the States means 10%. VAT at 23% is charged on the value with duty added, so the gap reaches further than one line of the bill. The VIN of a single car decides.

Which Toyota models are assembled in the USA?

Most US-assembled Toyota cars reach us from the plant in Georgetown. The same range also holds cars from lines outside the States: those enter the EU at 10%, while cars from American plants catch 0%.

Models of “American” brands without zero duty

The zero rate is out of reach for Toyota cars from plants outside the USA, even when an American dealer sold them and you bid on them at a sale in the States. The preference in force since 2026-07-01 looks at the place of final assembly, so 10% stands. The VIN shows it plainly.

How do you check a specific car?

Enter the VIN of a Toyota and we will show you the plant it came off — Georgetown, for instance, if you have landed on a car from an American line. One model name is often produced in several countries at once, so the answer only means anything for a single number.

How much will you save?

How much you save follows the customs value, so what you get here is the mechanism rather than a finished number. A Toyota from an American plant comes in at 0% instead of 10%, and lower duty also drags down the 23% VAT base. Put your car's details into the calculator and read off the difference.

Work out the import cost

Zero-duty paperwork — our job

We handle customs from end to end. A Toyota with an American assembly plant is declared under the preference in force since 2026-07-01; every other car goes in at the standard 10% rate. Which documents are needed follows from the car's own data, not from the seller's description.
