GMC and zero duty — model by model

Some GMC models roll off American assembly lines, others off European or Asian ones, and that single fact sets the rate. A car finally assembled in the USA enters the EU at 0% duty instead of 10%. The rule works per car, though: one model name is often built on two continents, so the VIN answers the question.

Which GMC models are assembled in the USA?

Across the GMC range we confirm American assembly for 31 models, while 3 have only ever reached us from plants outside the USA. The first group can enter the EU at 0%, the second pays 10%. Where a model lists two assembly countries, only the VIN gives an answer.

Models of “American” brands without zero duty

3 GMC models have only ever reached us from plants outside the USA, and those enter the EU at 10%. That is not a lesser version of the car: the difference sits in the assembly country, which follows the manufacturer's production plan rather than the target market or the trim.

How do you check a specific car?

The check takes about fifteen seconds: type in the VIN and we read the country and city of the assembly plant from the manufacturer's data. A plant in the States means this GMC qualifies for 0% duty; any other country means 10%. The model name and the build year cannot tell you that on their own.

How much will you save?

EU–US Agreement on Reciprocal Trade has applied since 2026-07-01 and it is what strips 10% duty from cars finally assembled in the States. For a GMC that meets the condition, what remains is excise (3.1% or 18.6%) and 23% VAT. Run the result through the calculator — it follows customs value and engine size.

Zero-duty paperwork — our job

Zero-duty paperwork is our half of the job. We read the assembly plant from production data, prepare the customs declaration and deal with the agency on your behalf. You pick a GMC and bid; we run the procedure.
